The comedian and “Daily Show” alum first stepped on the Grammy stage in 2021, earning praise for his quick wit and backstage access to performers. Executive producer Ben Winston confirmed Noah’s departure in a Jan. 13 statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time,” Winston said. “He’s been the most phenomenal host of the show. He’s so smart, so funny, and such a true fan of the artists and music.”

Winston added that Noah’s impact on the broadcast has been “truly spectacular” and promised “one last time” for the upcoming ceremony.

Noah’s representative declined to comment when contacted by News Of Fort Worth.

Behind the Curtain

Noah has repeatedly said the hosting gig gives him an all-access view of the music industry. In a 2022 Billboard interview he described the Grammys as the “ultimate backstage pass.”

“I am 1,000 percent a fan, and what I love about the Grammys is that I become a fan of a new artist every single time,” he told the outlet. “What many people don’t realize is how much work goes into the performances. Getting every single key right, every lighting cue perfect, choreographing all the moves between the cameras and the artists. You don’t truly appreciate it until you get behind the scenes.”

Despite the perks, Noah has also admitted the live nature of the show keeps him on edge.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he told Gayle King during a 2024 appearance on CBS Mornings. “So that’s what I love about the Grammys – it’s live, it’s happening, it’s on the fly.”
