According to News Of Fort Worth‘s Ryan J. Thompson, DownDetector showed 180,000 outage reports around 11:40 a.m. CT, after first spiking near 11 a.m. CT. The company posted on X at 12:40 p.m. ET that it was aware of the disruption.

Verizon Confirms Network Issue

Verizon posted on social media:

> “We are aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers. Our engineers are engaged and are working to identify and solve the issue quickly. We understand how important reliable connectivity is and apologize for the inconvenience.”

The carrier did not specify which cities were most affected, nor did it estimate how long repairs might take.
