All Angels Adopted: North Texas Salvation Army Distributes 35,000 Gifts This Christmas

All Angels from the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program have been adopted, and the organization is preparing to deliver gifts to more than 35,000 children, seniors, and adults with special needs on Christmas morning.

The Salvation Army of North Texas reported that this year’s demand for the Angel Tree program grew by 20%, underscoring the growing need for community support during the holiday season. The program’s expansion means that a larger group of vulnerable families will receive the joy of presents on Christmas Day.

With every Angel now adopted, the focus shifts to the return of gifts. The official deadline to return your gifts has already passed, so participants are encouraged to return their donations as soon as possible to guarantee timely delivery. Returning gifts promptly helps the Salvation Army coordinate distribution and meet the needs of each recipient.

From December 12 through December 18, the Salvation Army will distribute gifts to families across North Texas. This distribution window allows volunteers and drop‑off donors to ensure that every present reaches its intended recipient during the holiday period.

All gifts must be bagged per Angel and the corresponding Angel code must be included on each bag. This process helps the organization match each present with the correct recipient and maintain accurate records during distribution.

Drop‑off locations are available in four counties:

  • Dallas County – Christmas Center Dallas County, 9216 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75235, weekdays 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Tarrant County – Christmas Center Tarrant County, 229 E. Felix St., Fort Worth, Texas 76115, weekdays 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Collin County – Plano Corps Community Center, 3528 14th St., Plano, TX 75074, weekdays 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Ellis County – Waxahachie Corps Community Center, 620 Farley St., Waxahachie, TX 75165, weekdays 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Donations play a critical role in sustaining the Angel Tree program. Monetary contributions help cover the behind‑the‑scenes costs of sorting gifts and managing distribution days, which amount to roughly $25 per Angel. Those wishing to contribute can do so through the provided donation link.

Volunteer opportunities are also available. Individuals can register to ring a bell at a North Texas Red Kettle or start a Virtual Red Kettle. Additional volunteer roles are listed on the Salvation Army’s website, offering ways to support the program beyond gift donations.

For nearly 50 years, the Angel Tree program has helped the most vulnerable neighbors enjoy a joyful Christmas. Adopting an Angel not only brings immediate happiness but also fosters lasting hope throughout the year. Angel adoptions, monetary donations, and volunteer efforts enable the Salvation Army of North Texas to address community needs year‑round.

The Salvation Army of North Texas operates 21 centers across Dallas and Rockwall, Tarrant and Ellis, and Denton and Collin counties. These centers provide services that combat poverty, addiction, and homelessness, ensuring that the community receives comprehensive support.

In summary, the adoption of all Angels marks a significant milestone for the Salvation Army’s North Texas region. With 35,000 gifts on the way, the organization is poised to deliver holiday cheer to thousands of families while continuing to support the community throughout the year.
