Popcorn fans have a 48-hour window to cash in on steep discounts and free refills as chains and online shops mark National Popcorn Day on January 19.

AMC Theatres is selling an AMC Popcorn Pass for $29.99 plus tax that lets AMC Stubs members save 50% on a large popcorn every day through 2026.

Cinemark will fill any customer-owned bucket-up to 400 ounces-for $5 on January 18 and 19. That equals about two extra-large popcorns. Kettle corn is available at select locations. In partnership with Lowe’s, Cinemark will also accept a 5-gallon blue Lowe’s bucket and still honor the $5 fill-up price.

Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern locations will hand out one free large popcorn per ticket purchased on January 19. Guests also receive free scratch-off cards with prizes ranging from fountain drinks to candy and additional popcorn.

Regal invites customers to show up in costume on January 19 and walk away with a free large popcorn.

Showcase Cinemas Starpass members can claim a free small popcorn with the purchase of a ticket to a qualifying movie on January 19, while supplies last at participating locations.

Showplace Cinemas is running a buy-one-get-one-free deal on popcorn of equal or lesser value at all locations on the holiday; popcorn buckets are excluded.

Evo Cinemas is giving ticketholders a free regular-sized popcorn on January 19.

City Pop shoppers who spend $50 or more through January 19 will receive a free 32-cup Butter Popcorn bag.
